Alex had the idea that part of the site could be for people to post their ideas that other people could then turn into written pieces. This would allow people who aren't writers themselves to contribute and be a creative part of the community. It also works well with the idea of collaboration/etc.

Open Words began as my final project for my MA. It is intended to be a website where people can share their creative writing work. The idea behind the site is that it will provide tools that will enable an in-depth discussion of the work shared, as well as promoting openness and community.
This blog will chronicle the development of the website and provides a place where anyone can provide feedback on what I'm doing. In this way, it adheres to the principles of openness and collaboration that I wish to use in the final site/community.
